Toning Tips
- Buy a journal to track you're exercise.
- Set yourself a target, make sure it is realistic.
- Be sure to eat properly and keep balance you're food types.
- Take measurements of you're body before you start your exercise so you can see the difference.! Measure from a point i.e navel and measure down to point on bottom or thigh, ensure you use the same point each time for accurate reading and achieved results.
- Plan and prioritise your schedule, stick to your schedule and do not deviate from the schedule.
- Maintain correct posture at work, sit, don't slouch, keep you're back nice and straight.
- Make lunch time netter by taking a 15 minute power walk to burn calories, replenish with (healthy) foods to replenish and re-fuel.
- Buy a pedometer to record you're daily steps, on 3 days of the week, increase you're daily steps, alternate that with reducing calorie indake the other 3 days… the last day, have a rest.
Dietary Advice
- Make a note in you're journal of what you eat and how many calories that it contains. Monitor how much you burn throughout the day. Try to keep a good balance.
- Check misguiding food labels for fat and excess sugar levels, red, orange and green colour codes have been introduced in some supermarkets to help give you a general guidline, its like a traffic light, so remember red means stopand green means go!
- Eating out can be made much easier for you're body if chosen carefully!! Avoid sauces, fried and creamy dishes.
- Cook with care, be mindful of the ingredients you use, reduce carbs or eliminate especially after 7pm.
- Stick to white meats and reduce dairy intake.
- Consume slow release carbs with wholegrain and fibre, reduce your wheat to avoid becoming and looking bloated
- Be careful of alcohol intake.
- Stay away from sweeties, if you want a treat, pick up a healthy snack.
- Make sure you drink lots of water to increase metabolism and avoid sudden hunger pangs.
- Eat slowly for optimum digestion. Your senses take 30 mins to catch up with how much you have eaten.
Exercise Tips
- Get up 30 mins earlier in the morning and get active.
- Work out at home, when moving about the house, even when doing housework.
- Commit to getting fit, get a partner and do it together to keep morale up.
- A skip rope is a cheap way to burning a bonus 100 cals in about 8 mins, perform 4x2mins or 3-4x50 skips 3 times a day
- Arrange long weekend walks and talks with a loved one
- Perfect your posture, think about how you look to others, walk tall and beautiful and that is how the world sees you too!
